    It creates an environment whereby you can modify the theme without touching the theme’s original files. Modifications to themes files can; compromise the theme, be compromised when the theme updates and can mislead debugging processes.

    If you put that PasteBin’d code in your Child Theme’s content.php file, you’ll need to activate the Child Theme from within the dashboard.

    Your webpage still appears to be using the original theme [screenshot]. To activate your Child Theme, go to Dashboard › Themes and activate your new (Child) theme.

    What’s going on with the child theme? Have you created it? It’s not activated.

    you seem to be working with a clone of Twenty Eleven with your own theme name, which is fine in my opinion.

    can you also paste the content of index.php of your theme?
    and of functions.php?

    while you are at it, fix that conditional statement (logic OR is ||http://php.net/manual/en/language.operators.logical.php )in your content.php:

    <?php if ( is_search() || is_home() ) : // Edit this to show excerpts in other areas of the theme?>
