Large Text to Small in Reponsive

Hello Word,

I am using the Responsive Theme for a website I am recreating. I am wondering what the cause for the large text is.

If you see, the text is really large on the landing page.

Also, was wondering if anyone has suggestions as to how to make an interactive blog using this site…I am guessing this could be done in the widgets section.
