Large Table – Edit page keeps going unresponsive

    Hi Tobias, thank you so much for creating an excellent plugin. I am having difficulties with a large table of 4000 rows and 7 rows. I have tried importing .csv and have got close except links that were present for an Email function (mailto:….) has been removed. The spreadsheet in Google Sheets and I have also tried adding in this format, however, only 100 rows appear. With the .csv upload once in the “edit” table screen it just stalls and will not allow any updates and displays “page unresponsive. I am using Siteground GoGeeky Hosting service and this is the only website on the service. The file size is 1.1Mb. I cannot work out why the page keeps going unresponsive. The table is displaying correctly in the front end and I am using the shortcode via Elementor Pro. This is on the BuddyBoss theme. The website is being developed as a replacement for the current site and access is via changing local hosts file.     Hi,

    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

    Unfortunately, using the “Edit” screen of TablePress can indeed be very slow for such large tables… I hope to be able to make this better in the future.
    In the meantime, importing the table from a CSV file is the best option here then. In your case, the problem with the import likely is that you were not yet using the correct URL of the Google Sheet. The “edit” URL will not work, you will need to use a “sharing” URL that directly returns a CSV file. In your case, please try the import from the URL https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Su3VNkz_NOZR5jcGIM8sMeB4NSojZ0U-WleeO9nLC4U/export?format=csv
    (Not the /export?format=csv at the end, instead of /edit#gid=0 as in your URL.)
