Large page size despite using WP Smush

    Hi guys!

    I’m currently facing an issue with all pages on my WP website. Right now, all pages have large sizes especially due to the images that are on them. I have used WP Smush to optimize this, however, I am still facing about a 18mb homepage size right now which makes no sense. It’s causing my webpage speed to be drastically high.

    Any tips on how to debug / fix this?

    Hey @whoiskristianvoldrich,

    You’re using very large images in your home page. here:


    If you checkout those two screenshot, you need a 435x290px image in there, while you’re loading a full size 1920x1280px image.

    If this is a custom theme, you need to register additional image size which you can use in here, if it’s a paid theme, you can contact your theme provider to help you out with this.

    Once you optimise the image size used for the theme, you’ll be able to shave off at least 11MBs, once you do that we can help you figure out the rest.
