    Hi
    I didn’t reproduced your issue.
It will helpful to know what steps you took to reach the issue so that I may duplicate in my testing.
Does Polylang is network activated, if yes it is activated on the main site?
Or have you activate Polylang per site?

Why do you think is Polylang which causing this issue?

    Hi @chrystl,

No, Polylang is not network activated, its activate on each site separably, and i believe the problem is with Polylang because after deactivate it the problem disappear after one update, but after reactivate it, the problem is back again, that what drive me to think that Polylang makes WordPress thinks that translations need an update.

To demonstrate the issue, just install Polylang obviously :P, then add the Arabic or Moroccan Arabic from Polylang settings, after that you will see an notification about translation needs to update but even after update it successfully you will see the notification again.

Could you provide a screenshot of the language table (Settings > Languages > Languages tab)?
You can upload it via http://snag.gy and link to it here.

I tested with Polylang 1.8 activated on each site with Moroccan Arabic on the main site.
I have had an update about the Moroccan Arabic for Twenty Fifteen and Twenty Sixteen. I haven’t another notification, just “Your translations are all up to date.” (Translations).
    I didn’t reproduce your issue.

Have you set up the Arabic and Moroccan Arabic together on a same site? If yes, which are their “Language code”?

    (@sidati)

Only one of them (Arabic or Moroccan) not necessarily both, but im gonna dig deeper, and tell you the result 🙂

    Nginx Problem 😉
    Sorry

WordPress tells me the translations was successfully installed when actually my Nginx rules forbid WordPress/Polylang from writing any files or creating any directories.

So im not sure if its a WordPress bug or just Nginx mis-configuration,
Anyway thanks a lot for taking time to respond, mush appreciated 🙂

    Regards,
    Sidati
