Hello, The Notifima plugin recently updated, and now I no longer see the menus and other elements in Spanish. I have set my user language to Spanish, but that doesn’t change anything either. Regards,

    Hi @ikeriker,

With the release of Notifima 3.1.0, we’ve redesigned the settings panel and significantly updated the plugin’s architecture. As part of these improvements, we also updated many of the existing text strings and introduced new ones.

Because of these changes, translations created for older versions may not automatically apply to the latest version. This is expected whenever the original strings have been modified or replaced.

To preserve as much of your existing translation work as possible, you can export your previous translation files and import them into the updated version. Any strings that remain unchanged will continue to use your existing translations. However, newly added or modified strings will need to be translated again.

We understand that you’ve already invested considerable time translating the plugin, and we truly appreciate that effort. These changes were necessary to improve the plugin’s functionality, maintainability, and ensure a more robust, future-ready architecture.

If you have any further questions or need any assistance, please let us know. We’ll be happy to help.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your reply.

I think there may have been a misunderstanding regarding my original question. I did not create, edit, or maintain any custom Spanish translation files for the plugin. Before the update to Notifima 3.1.0, the plugin interface, including its menus, settings, labels, and other elements, was automatically displayed in Spanish.

After installing the latest update, the entire plugin interface is now displayed in English. I have checked that both the WordPress site language and my user profile language are set to Spanish, but the plugin continues to appear in English.

I understand from your explanation that many text strings were changed or replaced as part of the new architecture, and that translations made for previous versions may no longer match the updated strings. However, my question is not about recovering a custom translation that I created myself.

Could you please confirm whether Notifima 3.1.0 currently includes an official Spanish translation for the new settings interface?

If a Spanish translation is available, could you please let me know how to enable or download it? If it is not yet available, could you confirm whether you are planning to release an updated Spanish translation in a future version?

I would also appreciate clarification on whether users are now expected to translate the new interface themselves or whether the plugin’s official translations are still being updated.

Thank you in advance for your help and clarification.

    Kind regards,

    Hi @ikeriker,

    Thanks for sharing the details.

We’d like to clarify that, apart from the default English language files, all other translations are maintained by community contributors through the WordPress Translation Project.

Since the latest version of the plugin was released recently and includes a number of new and updated text strings, it appears that the translations for your language have not yet been updated by the community. As a result, some of the newly added strings may still appear in English.

If you’d like, you can also contribute to the translation yourself through the WordPress Translation Project here:
    https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/woocommerce-product-stock-alert/

Alternatively, you can translate the plugin locally using the Loco Translate plugin by following our translation guide here.

If you have any further questions or need any assistance with the translation process, please let us know. We’ll be happy to help.
