Language-specific RSS feeds (5 posts)

    Hi !
I am evaluating Polylang in a sandbox instance and it seems to do everything I need except a couple of things.

One of them is to generate language specific RSS feeds for posts i.e.
    - one feed for language 1
    - one feed for language 2

By now, what I get from the out-of-the-box WP RSS feeds is one feed that mixes posts in language 1 and posts in language 2.

I've searched the support board but did not find any answer.
    Help much appreciated.

I expect the same result as you. If not, this is either a conflict with your theme or a plugin, or a bug.

Could you test with a default theme and Polylang as the only activated plugin?

Could you report your permalink settings and Polylang settings?

    Thanks for the prompt reply.
I tried with all plugins deactivated and the twenty-ten theme, but I don't see a change in the RSS content. I actually do not understand how it could work.
If the default feed URL is http://www.asphalte.ch/news-english/?feed=rss2, would there be different/separate feeds generated for each language declared in Polylang ?

In this sandbox instance, i have permalinks as default:
    Polylang settings:
    - default language: fran├žais
    - language is set from content
    - remove language in pretty permalinks
    - allow to synchronize categories

Thanks a lot for the help.
I have a separate question which I will ask in a dedicated thread :-)

In fact, your English feed will be http://www.asphalte.ch/news-english/?feed=rss2&lang=en and your French feed will be http://www.asphalte.ch/news-english/?feed=rss2&lang=fr.

When you don't hide the default language, http://www.asphalte.ch/news-english/?feed=rss2 does not filter posts.

If you add a link to the feed (for example using the widget "meta"), then the language should be correctly set according to the page currently browsed.
