We have language-specific domains setup in our WP install, but the newsletter template doesn’t seem to allow for translation and the links to be pointed to the correct domains.

To try to get around this our current newsletter is created bilingually with the text repeated in each respective language. However, the fields don’t seem to allow for a specific domain to be set, especially for {POST} which would be a good start.

Any idea how can we achieve this, or is it not possible with Subscribe2?

Since you mention language-specific domains, are you using WordPress in Multisite mode?

If you are you can activate Subscribe2 in each language domain and configure it individually.

If you are creating language domains differently somehow, then perhaps you could try using the API to amend the Subscribe2 email on-the-fly depending on the language domain.

No we localise our single installation using WPML, with a domain per language. Is there documentation to use the api to localise subscribe2 using WPML or any other way of doing this?

The Subscribe2 API is documented here:
    https://subscribe2.wordpress.com/support/api/

I cannot recall the full details now but when I last investigated getting Subscribe2 and WPML to work better together there was no possibility in WPML to programatically find out what domain you were using at the time of script execution.
