    Hi there,

Although I globally selected “German” as the site’s language, Pie Register Forms still use the English setting instead.

Do I have to change other settings within Pie Register for it to route to the de_DE .po file?

    Thanks a lot!

    Hi,

If you are asking about the form labels then they are editable and you can change it in german language from Manage Forms > Edit form.

Also, german language files (.po/.mo) are available in the Pie Register plugin for text saved as strings in a plugin like messages, configuration settings labels, etc.

You can also use the Loco Translate plugin for text translation of the plugin.

    Thanks

    Hi @genetech

Thanks so much for your quick reply. I had changed the strings in the .po file and updated it to pie-register’s language folder, but it does not seem to take and still shows the English strings like “Register | Lost your password?” etc.

    What am I missing?

    Best,
    Lisa

    Hi again @genetech

Any help with the .po file would be greatly appreciated. I uploaded the .po to my website too, so you can see it.

I uploaded it to pie-register’s language folder, but it does not seem to take and still shows the English strings like “Register | Lost your password?” etc.

    Hi,

We have checked your .po file, it looks fine. Make sure you have uploaded both files (.po/.mo) in the correct folder.
If it still doesn’t work then please share your website URL and test admin credentials along with FTP details here. So we can take a look at your files and site configuration.

    Thank you
