 * Hi!
 * I tried some plugins that allowed for different front and back end language but
   had to quit that.
 * Now I try to have only 1 language (da_DK).
 * Wp-config is set to: $locale=’da_DK’;
    Database wp_options is set to WPLANG =
   da_DK
 * But the wordpress setting cannot be changed from the “English (US)” by saving
   in other language, even though backend clearly is in danish.
 * My problem is that certain other plugins apparently get confused and I end up
   with mix of english and danish.
 * So the question is, how do I force wordpress to report and respect da_DK, given
   the things I already did ?
 * Cheers

 * Hello [@prokops](https://wordpress.org/support/users/prokops/),
 * If you are running WordPress 4.0 or about the easiest way to switch your installation
   to a different language is to change in the admin.
 * [https://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress_in_Your_Language#WordPress_v4.0_and_above](https://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress_in_Your_Language#WordPress_v4.0_and_above)
 * WordPress core does come with translations for different languages including
   Danish, but not all plugins come with Danish translations. That’s the reason
   for ending up with the mix of English and Danish strings.
 * Maybe you would like to help out the developers and provide the translations
   yourself, if you would like to do that contact the plugin developers and read
   more about the process here: [https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/how-to-translate-a-wordpress-plugin/](https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/how-to-translate-a-wordpress-plugin/)
 * I hope this answers you question.
