I am using GTranslate plugin (free version) to add French to my English website. I am impressed that it translates the text at the bottom of my slider, but the alignment is wrong in French.

I am aligning the English to centre/middle, but when it shows in French, everything shifts to the right.

I can’t enter the French in the slider so how do I account for this shift?
    Thank you.

    Hi @ma3ry

Were you able to figure out the problem? I checked your slider and the alignment seemed to be the same for me.

No I have not been able to resolve it yet. It just looks a little better because I made each item shorter, but it is most noticeable with CHERCHER and NOUVELLES. They are too far to the right. L’EQUIPE and CONTACT are too far to the left.

I know it’s a matter of chaining the layers but I just can’t get the text to centre under the image.

    Hi @ma3ry!

The problem you see happens, because you used canvas editing mode ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsq09izc1H4&feature=youtu.be&t=5m58s ). With this mode you have a text let’s say with 9 characters and our code calculates where it should be for example from the top left part of the slider. Translating this text won’t recalculate the position of the text, so with a new 5 character text it will still stay in the exact same placement.
You could try to make these layers have a bigger width than the actual text is:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/lh42v9fzszdxoi7/width.PNG?dl=0
and align the texts in the center within this area (this is the default alignment for Heading layers). That way your text might will be fine.

If this wouldn’t work out, the only solution might be to only use content editing mode:

In there the texts are positioned using CSS codes, not JavaScript and a 3rd party plugin changing them won’t affect their positioning. Just in this case your design couldn’t really work out, as you cannot have layers on top of each other in this case.

Thank you but I am finding that CONTENT mode does not allow me to put images on top of images. I create columns and the second set of images goes below the first set instead of on top.

Can you tell me please how I can overlay images on images in CONTENT mode i.e. one layer on top of another.

I want the effect of one image cross fading into the next in a series.

    Thank you for your help.

Many thanks for your help. I was able to use CONTENT mode for the alignment of the text under images and CANVAS mode for all the others. I haven’t thoroughly tested it yet but so far it’s looking ok.

Is there a way to put a CONTENT layer on top of another CONTENT layer?

    Hi @ma3ry

In Content mode you can’t make layers to be on top of other layers.
