 * where can I change the button text at the frontend?
    The de_DE file works and
   it is still translated everywhere, just not the ‘add to wishlist’ at the page
   itself… any idea why?

 * have you tried directly changing string from option in admin panel?
 * You can find “Add to wishlist text” option under YIT Plugin -> Wishlist -> Settings(

 * yes there it says ‘Zu Wunschliste hinzufügen’ which would be right, but at the
   frontend it is english again

 * Cna you check if your theme overwrites templates _add-to-wishlist.php_ or _add-
   to-wishlist-button.php_?
 * Otherwise, can you try it with default Twenty WordPress theme?

    Now I just have to search where that would be 😀 But it is the

 * Glad to know we found the problem! Maybe theme developer can help you better,
   but I suggest you to search for untranslated strings in _add-to-wishlist.php_
   or _add-to-wishlist-button.php_ templates, if they are overwritten in theme root,
   or under /woocommerce subdirectory 🙂
