Landing page for categories

Hi
I have a sub menu for my categories, it consists of a drop down menu which lists all the posts in that catagory. When I click on the category button which has multiple posts it lists all the posts in that category.

I need to create a landing page for each category so that not the whole post is shown, only parts of it like the title for example.

Can anyone help?
