Lackluster Free Version

    I’ll preface this by saying the paid version is actually very neat, with some strong customization features and is absolutely worth your money if you need something like. However, this review is for the free plugin you can download from the WP plugins section. Long story short, this plugin is nothing more than a glorified demo, missing extremely basic features found in most other freely available plugins, such as custom queries (seriously, you can’t even manually select products to show, it’s either ‘latest’ or ‘featured’ and nothing else) and even changing the FONT for your text. Like, WHAT??? I have never seen any plugin that so aggressively advertises its paid version as this, in every single options tab you will find 10+ locked/greyed out PRO options for every 1 option you can actually change. It gets almost comical seeing multiple “upgrade to PRO!!” messages on top of each other.

    tl;dr: either buy the paid version or look for something else. The free version is functionally useless.
