I work for the state of Texas and must adhere to ADA requirements regarding web site 508 accessibility. UT ITS is monitoring accessibility on all UT sites and running all sites through an online program called Watchfire. It reports all pages with accessibility errors and it is finding between 1 and 4 errors on all our blogs and the login page. The problem is in the lack of use of “for” in ‘<label>’ tags.
They need to read ‘<label for =”id_tag_name”>’ instead of just <label>.
I wanted to report this and bring it to someone’s attention. I guess I need to add the “for” to each one that is missing, but it would be nice if this were coded correctly to start with. You can see it on the wp-login.php page. It is missing the tag in 4 places.
Thanks very much.
