Kubrick Guestbook Template

  • I wrote a little guide a while back about adding a guestbook to your WordPress site.

I’ve gotten a few “help me! emails on my tutorial. Each one has been based on Kubrick, the default WordPress theme. To make things easier, I just made a Kubrick guestbook.php file.

You can view the text version here. You want to copy/patse this into your preferred editor.

    * Save the file as guestbook.php and upload into the default theme folder.
    * In your dashboard, go to Write/Page
    * Under page options, select guestbook under page template
    * Add a disclaimer or what not to the page.
    * Volla! Your guestbook is set up and users can start leaving uncategorized messages for you!
    * Their messages will be posted as comments and will be styled just as the comments on your posts.

  • Does it work on a non-Kubrick template? I just saw your guide link so thank you!

The .txt version is only for kubrick or themes based off kubrick.

The guide tells you how to cutomize your theme.

I now have guestbook templates (or how to’s) made for

Connections (works with most themes by wpthemes.info)
    Almost Spring
    Fast Track
    Gentle Calm
    Green Marinee
    and Orange Sky

I’ll be adding more as the days go by.

It is work , but the comment not working as new comment on top … @__@

Hi, I’m a Pool Theme User, and has seen and implemented your tutorial on making a guestbook for this theme. Now I’m trying to incorporate Keyvan’s Paged Comments to this guestbook. I’ve tried but it looks terrible. Wonder if you can come out with a CSS modified just for Pool Theme guestbook using Keyvan’s plugin….? Cheers

Jennifer’s on holiday – can anyone else help?
I’ve downloaded the Kubrick Guestbook template – and done everything in the guide – but when I click the page link – I get a page of code!
I’m new to all this – and can take rude answers…
    What have I done wrong?
