Known Plugin and Theme Conflicts 2.0.7

Given the size and scope of the NextGEN 2.0.0 update, there have been a number of theme and plugin conflicts.

We addressed many of these directly in 2.0.7 and we think other conflicts will be resolved from the same changes.

So I just wanted to start another fresh thread with the current state of affairs as of NextGEN 2.0.7.

If you find additional conflicts, please post them here for us and for other users with the name of the plugin and the symptom of the conflict.

UNRESOLVED: KNOWN PLUGIN AND THEME CONFLICTS

PLUGIN CONFLICTS THAT AFFECT SLIDERS*Some of these may be fixed as well, but we haven’t confirmed.*

SOLILOQUY SLIDER PLUGIN. May cause aspects of our interface to disappear.

ROYAL SLIDER. Activating 2.0 prevent slider from working.

EVOLUTION SLIDER. The sliders cease working with NG 2.0 installed.

NIVO SLIDER (Standalone version). NextGen Gallery 2.0.0 overrides the NivoSlider menu and places it as a submenu of Gallery (I’m assuming in the back end).

JUSTIFIED IMAGE GRID. Activating 2.0 prevent slider from working.

NEXTGEN EXTENSION PLUGINS

PHOTOSWIPE FOR NEXTGEN. Not working for some users with 2.0.

SIMPLE PAYPAL SHOPPING CART. Not working for some users with 2.0.

NEXTGEN CUSTOM FIELDS. Stopped working in templates.

NEXTGEN GALLERY OPTIMIZER. Causes images to load solo (replaces the website) in the current browser window with NexGen 2.0.

NEXTGEN NIVO SLIDER. Not working for some users with 2.0.

OTHER PLUGIN CONFLICTS

CONTACT FORM 7. In one case, seemed to cause site crash. In another, broke shortcodes.

EASY DIGITAL DOWNLOADS. This plus NextGEN will throw some errors in the backgroud, but doesn’t seem to affect functionality.

CART 66. Not working for some users with 2.0.

DBTOOLKIT. When generating pages with Nextgen embedded in the code, not showing the thumbnails anymore.

QTRANSLATE. Language shortcodes like [:en][:de] in “Alt & Title Text / Description” don’t work anymore.

MAPPRESS EASY GOOGLE MAPS. This one causes NextGEN short codes to stop working and causes the Attach to Post interface to be blank when trying to add galleries.

THEME CONFLICTS*Some of these may be fixed as well, but we haven’t confirmed.*

ECCLESIA THEME. Works fine if you turn of NG permalinks, but there’s no longer any way to do this.

FLEXFORM THEME. NG 2.0 affect the post/portfolio/team carousels in the theme. The theme carousels are completely hidden.

RISE THEME. Causes Attach to Post interface to not appear.

Non trovo più in NexGen Gallery 2.0.7 la funzione PicLens, per lo scorrimento delle immagini. Cosa devo fare?

(I don’t find in NexGen Gallery 2.0.7 the function PicLens, for the slide of the images. What must I do?)

Running WordPress 3.6 in it’s own directory (http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory) with NextGen Gallery 2.0 og 2.0.7 does not work. Alot of filepaths become wrong: It can not find the templates for adding images, settings and so on. In TinyMCE all the filepaths for NextGen Gallery javascript files are wrong.

Rolled back to version 1.9.13 and it is working again.

I just updated to WordPress 3.6 and up to 2.07 days of Nextgen and the category page I do not have accents:

You should also add “NextGen Gallery Powertags” to the list of broken plugins, despite of its 4000 downloads.

I’ve tried to understand how to port my old Powertags version into your new Pope framework, but nor documentation nor example seems to help.

I don’t understand why the hell you imposed this completly refactoring. You know there are over 7 million downloads, you should think that your Pope will cause a mess up like that.

Anyway… eggs are broken, so if you can provide a working example (or a bible for your Pope lol) and some kind of help, I will try to port my plugin to the new version.

Hello.
On WP 3.6 pages with nextGEN objects (embed through [nggallery id=…]) confict with right codepage detection. Used UTF-8 converts to cp-1251.
Fix it please

I can also confirm that W3 Total Cache is incompatible with NextGen Gallery 2.0.7. At first I thought it was related to its CDN integration not dealing properly with the imagerotator.swf file, but disabling CDN integration didn’t help. I had to disable W3 Total Cache entirely as an emergency measure, which is bad. Page speed is important.

Symptoms for me were gallery thumbnails displaying in a single vertical column, and slideshows simply displaying that Flash and Javascript are required (even on browsers that have them installed.)

Please, this must be fixed or a workaround found.

Hello, I updated the plugin to the latest version, but many things didn’t work fine after the update.

My site works with Elegant Themes (Glow 4.6) and the thema’s shortcodes didn’t work any more. Also Flare plugin and Contact Form 7 didn’t work properly.

Now I did a downgrade to version 2.0 and everything work fine again, I hope that you can fix all the issue.

All seems to be working for me after upgrading to 2.0.7, except it cannot move to the next page of images on a multipage gallery, and throws a 404 error.

I have been having a lot of issues with out sites since upgrading this plugin. Mainly with it showing nothing but code that Bike Painter mentioned above.

And then on one of my themes, “Dreamy”, crashes completely whenever the plugin is upgraded.

Just thought I’d give a heads up.

When I activate the plugin, this error appears: Warning: array_diff() [function.array-diff]: Argument #2 is not an array in /home/lanad507/public_html/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/non_pope/class.photocrati_installer.php on line 71

When I click to view a gallery, says it has no photo. 🙁

My theme is: Magzimus

What do I do to solve this problem?

Issue:
NEXTGEN GALLERY OPTIMIZER. Causes images to load solo (replaces the website) in the current browser window with NexGen 2.0.

Solution on two sites:
Install the plugin Fancybox version 1.0.7 by Kevin Sylvestre, and in my case the Nextgen Gallery worked with fancybox again, i know it sounds crazy.

It’s not working with Photorific Version 3.0 that is on themeforest.net.. really need this plug in to work with this theme.. it’s a photography theme and my client loves it AND nextgen. Help. When I upgrade to latest version, all the formatting disappears .. things are all over the place and you can see code.

Another week goes by.

Again, I’ve been happy to support this plugin with yearly donations. What happened? Is it going to be fixed? My site has been suffering this mess for too long.
