    Hi,

I’m using P3, but have to switch it off after every scan (or is it even recommended by the author to switch it off?) as I don’t have access to my “all pages” list in my admin area with the activated plugin.

Are there any known compatibility problems with other plugins (e.g. cache plugins like W3 Total Cache)?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

That sounds really strange. There aren’t any known compatibility issues with other plugins … what is going on with the “all pages” list? Is it an empty table, or do you get an error or what?

Thanks for your quick reply. The scan works smooth and without any troubl, but as soon as the scan is done, I get this error message:

A fatal error occurred during profiling: Out of memory (allocated 62652416) (tried to allocate 41 bytes) in file /homepages/7/d249885565/htdocs/Blog/wp-content/plugins/p3-profiler/classes/class.p3-profiler.php on line 289

Trying to acces the “all pages” list ends in a completely blank page: no admin menu etc., pure white.

It sounds like you’re running out of memory at 64 MB. I would check your host’s documentation on how to raise your memory limit. When P3 is actively profiling your site, it does use more memory than your site normally would because it stops in between each step (several thousand times per page) and gets a full stack trace and analyzes it.

Please rest assured, though, that your visitors won’t have any problems. P3’s scanning is tied to your IP only.

Hm, I have 256 MB set and the plugin “WP-Memory-Usage” tells me that I’m using less than 20 % of my memory. Is it increasing that much?

Yes, I realized that there are no problems except for me not being able to reach my “all pages” list. But I would prefer not having this issue. 🙂

Your error message “allocated 62652416” translates to 59.75 MB. Can you use use a debugging plugin to double check that your 256 MB setting is set correctly?

Another plugin may have reset the memory limit lower.

I just installed the plugin “Debug Info”. It confirms that my memory limit is 256 MB.
    It says:
    Local Value = 256 MB
    Master Value = 120 MB

Then I’m stumped. I don’t know why you’re running out of memory at 60MB. It might be time to ask your hosting support.

    Alright. Thanks and happy Tuesday!
