Knews wysiwyg cleaning needed paragraph attributes

  • Concerning the wysiwyg of Knews when adding text content into newsletter, I have noticed that when you make a cariage return to add a paragraph, the editor create a new “p” tag and keep some styling from the p tag from which you hit enter.

The problem here is that it will keeps only some predetermined attributes, and if these attributes don’t have zero as value. But to keep visual aspect in all mail clients, some precise attributes have to be kept. For example, hotmail (now called Outlook) has to have “margin-bottom:0px” in p tag otherwise it will be adding a margin-bottom of 1em even if you had “margin:0px”. We also have to keep “line-height:1” for that one. But the actual wysiwig will clean these attributes in added paragraphs.

Is there a way to custom adjust these settings?

    Hello Sam!

You’re right, any tag <p> without styles to avoid the defaults will be shown different in every email client.

But… I can reproduce the issue! I just tested it in Win Chrome / FF / IE 8 & 9, and on Mac in Safari and Chrome!

Please, tell me what platform, browser, version, template and exact steps… (free text, post insertion, paste, etc.)
