• Update: This review was for an older version of the plugin.

At the time, it caused severe server performance issues. Even after stopping background sync, it ran database queries on every page load for every image. With ~500k monthly traffic, MySQL CPU reached ~400% and server load went above 20. Disabling the plugin immediately dropped the load to around 2.

The developer later reached out, investigated the query issues, and released fixes. I haven’t retested the latest version yet, but I appreciate the responsiveness and effort to resolve the problems.

This plugin destroyed my server performance. Even after stopping the background sync, it runs database queries on EVERY page load for EVERY image. With 500k monthly traffic, my MySQL hit 400% CPU and server load went to 20+.
The moment I disabled this plugin, load dropped from 20 to 2.
Switched to WP Offload Media Lite – no issues at all. Avoid this plugin if you have any significant traffic.
