    Hello, folks!

    We are running WordPress 6.0.2 in Multisite mode with Yoast 19.7.1. We cloned a site and tried to make changes to the Yoast page metadata, such as title and keyword, but it doesn’t retain the settings upon save.

    I have been able to get a 409 error in the console when attempting a save within Elementor:
    POST DOMAIN/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php [HTTP/2 409 Conflict 254ms]

    The response is:
    {"success":false,"data":"Switched multisite"}

    I appreciate any feedback!

  • Hey @duncanplatt,

    Thank you for using Yoast SEO and for reaching out!

    That’s an odd issue and doesn’t ring a bell. Can you describe how you duplicated/cloned the subsite? I have a feeling that something is still tied to the other subsite and causes this.

    Would you be able to do the following:

    1) Install the Yoast Test Helper plugin on the network and network activate it, found here https://wordpress.org/plugins/yoast-test-helper/
    2) Go to Tools → Yoast Test
    3) Click the Reset Indexables tables & migrations button.
    4) Go to SEO → Tools.
    5) Click the “Start processing and speed up your site now” button and let it complete.`

    Can you check if after doing so it makes any difference?
