    Is it possible to get a Ken Burns Effect on the Meta Slider (i.e. slow panning left or right while zooming out)? I can’t find any such features in the admin tools.

    I’m running MetaSlider v3.15.3, on WordPress 5.3.2 at Bluehost.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Success! It works perfectly. No problem with autoslide. No stopping between images.

    Thank you!

    It looks like this is zooming straight out. I don’t see any movement to the left or right, as it zooms out.

    Is there some way to give it a leftward and/or rightward movement as it zooms out?

    Or perhaps to have the option of setting each image to move either left or right, as it zooms out?

    Check the code you used and you’ll see the $movements variable which is an array of strings. Remove the ones you don’t want.

    I see the $movements variable and array of strings. They look like this:

    $movements = ['center left', 'center center', 'center right', 'top left', 'top center', 'top right', 'bottom left', 'bottom center', 'bottom right'];

    QUESTION: Do I correctly understand that the slider is cycling through each of these nine values in the string, assigning each successive value to each successive image, then starting all over again at the beginning after it has cycled through all nine values?

    In order words, since I currently have 4 test images on my site, should I assume that the movement values are assigned as follows:

    Test Image 1 – ['center left',
    Test Image 2 – 'center center',
    Test Image 3 – 'center right',
    Test Image 4 – 'top left',
    Test Image 1 – 'top center',
    Test Image 2 – 'top right',
    Test Image 3 – 'bottom left',
    Test Image 4 – ‘bottom center’,
    Test Image 1 – ‘bottom right’];`

    I just need to confirm this, because it’s a little hard for me to tell just by eyeballing which direction the images are moving, due to optical illusions.

    Thanks for all your help!

    Hi,

    It’s random and not in order.

    $movements[array_rand($movements)];

    If you wanted it to be specific you would have to use the $slide->ID and run a check per slide. If you want to see more info about the slide, within that filter you can add var_dump($slide) and it will output to your site.

    Thank you!

    No problem! Let me know if there is anything else.

    By the way, if you’re enjoying MetaSlider please leave us a 5-star review. They really help us out and let others find our plugin more easily. If you don’t think we deserve the 5 stars please let us know how we can improve, too. Thanks!
