Keeping wordpress.com subscribers after moving to wordpress.org

  • I have a blog with wordpress.com using a custom URL we’ll call example.com. The RSS feed my readers are subscribed to is example.com/feed. I’ve now moved this blog to a self-hosted site on a subdomain of another URL utilizing wordpress.org. So, the blog now resides at blog.example2.com. My RSS feed there is blog.example2.com/feed. However, I want to transfer my wordpress.com URL so that it is mapped to this new blog, and I also want to keep my subscribers without having to ask them to re-subscribe. I’ve come across help to transfer the URL, but haven’t found anything to help me keep my subscribers. Any help would be appreciated.
