 * I have a site with different themes, but they all use the same base theme, I
   don’t have a functions.php in any child theme, instead I have all functions in
   a mu-plugin so all child themes share the same functions, so they all have the
   same widget areas etc.
 * The only problem I have is, if a user changes the theme the widgets will not
   stay in the widget areas, they move to the inactivate widgets.
 * As all my child themes share the same functions, does anyone know if it is possible
   to keep the widgets in the widget areas when a theme is changed?
 * Thanks in advance.
