Keeping some posts out of the SWT site (3 posts)

I know it's possible to keep whole blogs out of the SWT feed and site, by making the blogs private (ie. Non-Public Blogs).

However, for public blogs, how can I keep a specific post out of the SWT feed? Ideally, it would be as simple as a custom field I could add to the post to stop it from being copied over to the SWT site. Or perhaps a specific category.

Is this possible? Would others like this ability too?

Some background: I'm managing a MultiSite network for a college. Each department has a site on this network. Say the Biology department publishes a post about a news story. The story is relevant to the Chemistry department too. So, the Chemistry department adds a post about the story... but they link to the original story in Biology. (We use "Page Links To" plugin by markjaquith.

In the SWT site, there are now two posts. Both link to the same post within Biology. We'd like to be able to add something to the Chemistry department post which prohibits it from being copied over to the SWT site.

It would be less work to write something specific for your use than to add a whole load of logic to SWT to provide a way to do that for any situation.

http://wpmututorials.com/plugins/turn-off-sitewide-tags-on-special-blogs/ is a start on turning it off in special circumstances.

    Thanks! Seems simple enough. :)

    I hope I didn't just jinx myself!
