keeping images OUT of the "gallery"

    So… let’s say I upload a bunch of images into a post with the intent of evoking the [gallery] setting. It’s really cool how that works. but… lets say i don’t want ALL of those images to be in the gallery. How can I prevent that? Right now the gallery takes anything associated with the post…

    could it work to place the once you dont want in a customizedCategory and then publish them as private.

    or just add the categories you want in the gallery, and leave the custom out of it.

    just a thought

    If you’re comfortable in the HTML side of the post edit section, have a look at the Gallery Shortcode page.

    You can add the “exclude” option to the shortcode to exclude attached images form the gallery:

    [gallery exclude="21,32,43"]
