Support » Themes and Templates » Keep the Title in the Header but remove it from the Page

  • Hello. I am using the Pilcrow Theme for my website. It is not a blog format. The main menu is in the header (Home, About, etc…) I want to keep those titles in the navigation bar but I want to remove them from the top of the text body on each page.
    The site is
    http://www.thenourishproject.com

    You will see what I mean. You click on “home” and at the top of the page it says “Home”
    So it’s redundant.

    Not sure where to look to edit it out.
    Thanks
    Jen

    The easiest thing that you can do is to first make a child theme.

    In your child theme css, you need to insert:

    .entry-title {
    	display:none
    }

    That’s it.

    So you’re child theme should contain one file called styles.css and contain the following:

    /*
    Theme Name:     Child of pilcrow
    Theme URI:      http://thenourishproject.com/
    Description: Child theme for the Pilcrow theme
    Author:         Your name here
    Author URI:     http://thenourishproject.com/
    Template:       pilcrow
    */
    .entry-title {
    	display:none
    	display:none
    }
