Hi, long time user of WordPress.org, first time poster. I've found a lot of help here in regards to the Ryu theme, and I am very thankful for that! But I'm looking for one piece of info that I could not yet find:

How do I keep the top social media widget on the top of the page open at all times, as opposed to clicking the chain link to activate the widget? I tried to remove the "hide" function from the header.php file, and it kept the social media links there, but since the black bar is not constantly there you cannot see the social media links.

Can you link a page that has this social media area?

    Here is a link:

When the link icon at the top is clicked, the social media widget is activated. But I'd like to keep the social media links activated all the time, so that the black bar and icons are always present.

I think I just figured it out. I changed the "toppanel hide" to "toppanel show" in the header.

Glad you found a way to accomplish what you're after.

Just a heads-up that the best way to make changes is to use a child theme, so your tweaks won't be overwritten when updating the theme. If you edited the theme files directly and update the theme when a new version comes out, all your changes will be lost. Here are some guides in case you haven't made one before:
