What I like to do is the following. I have a button in the sidebar which has 2 states: normal and over. What I like to add is a pressed state. So, when somebody selects a page from the sidebar that it gives a feedback what page they are on.

The site that its for is:

    Thanks in advance,

    Niel

I did this once with PHP. I used a variable in the URL to identify the request, then generated my HTML/CSS accordingly. If I were to do it again, I’d try giving my stylesheet a .php extension and put the logic there.

Hmm. Sounds like a sollution. But a complex one. My php skills are not that good but i’ll give it a go.

But isn’t there an easier way to do it?

Matt’s Intelligent Menus (http://photomatt.net/scripts/intellimenu/) might give you a starting point.
