Keep receiving lockout notifications AFTER uninstalling

    I keep receiving lockout notifications from itheme security. I uninstalled, reinstalled, uninstalled again, tried combing the database and the files but I’m still receiving lockout notifications from one of my sites.

    The notification includes a link to the admin area. I had used the hide admin backend feature… the address in the emails is an old backend URL. I had since updated, but the emails are still using the old one.

    This is really bizarre… the plugin is gone…but it’s not? How do I fix this…

    The issue was apparently on the server’s end. Awhile back our host migrated us to a new server but forgot to delete the old instance of the website. The website was still accessible by IP address and apparently bots were still invading it.

    So this *was not* an issue with iThemes Security.
