• Hello.
I just installed a network site a few sites on sub-domains.
Is there any way I can have a login form on the main site that automatically redirects to the subdomain and keeps login state?
I want the user to be redirected to a private page that can also be logged in to using subdomain.domain.com/wp-admin.
I am currently using underConstruction plugin to keep the different sub-domains private unless the user is logged in, and Peters Login redirect to redirect users to their respective sites.

  • Try it with those plugins disabled, because what you want is default behavior.

Yes, I know, but I dont want the user to go into the admin panel, just get access to the site itself. Thats why im using peters login redirect. So is there any way I can make them log in on the main domain and get redirected to the private page (subdomain, not the admin panel)?

Yes, make that subdomain their primary blog when they sign up.

    The redirection will happen automagically.

I still cant get this to work, the user for the subdomain doesnt seem to get logged in to the subdomain admin when they log in through the main domain, meaning they cant see the private site when they get redirected (using peters login still). When I log in with the sub-domain user on the main domain it only redirects to the main domains wp-admin (without peters login redirect). What am I doing wrong?
