 * I keep getting a “build interrupt” when I try to build a package. This is the
   message I get:
 * Server Status: 0 -error
    Error Message: Unknown Error – See Log File
 * I look at the log and I can’t see anything that says what the problem is, not
   the I really understand what I am looking at.
 * I do get a warnings on two items during the scan, cached data and total file
   size
 * 1. About cached data. I have deactivated, not removed, WP-SuperCache, because
   it was not playing nice with GoDaddy. I do still get cached data in the cache
   file and I think this is something GoDaddy does.
 * 2. Total file size. The total is 274.38MB. Anything beyond 150MB will issue a
   warning. I have been getting the warning now for the past several months as the
   site has grown and I have had the build interrupt before, but after one or two
   tries I have a successful build.
 * Last week I did add significantly to the the size of the site, adding about 80
   new pages. I just wonder if the time it takes to create the zip file is longer
   than GoDaddy likes.
 * As a last attempt effort, I have checked the Attempt Network Keep Alive box.
   And attempted to another build. I got this
    Server Status: 500 -Internal Server
   Error Error Message: Internal Server Error
 * Is this something I am doing wrong or is this a GoDaddy issue?

 * Hey [@davidtleblanc](https://wordpress.org/support/users/davidtleblanc/),
 * Checkout this section on the FAQs I believe it may help with this issue:

   > Find section: “3. Troubleshoot=> Timeout Issues”

 * Cory, sorry about responding so late on this. I checked out the FAQ and I thing
   the issue is GoDaddy’s server was timing me out.
 * Your potential fixes, with the approval of the host, were to add php_value max_execution_time
   0 to either the .htaccess file in the website root folder in the Duplicator plugin
   folder.
 * GoDaddy says to put the php phrase in the php5.ini file and setting the value
   to 360. Sadly, they do not do unlimited.
 * Also sadly, this solution did not work.

 * There should be several other suggestions in that FAQ section, did you happen
   to try the other items as well?

 * No, namely because GoDaddy is experiencing technical difficulties. For a good
   stretch the site would not load.
 * It’s very possible that was the reason for the change not working. I am going
   to give it a rest for a day or so.
 * GoDaddy was up and down all day Thursday and whatever is causing the problems
   has continued into Friday as well. Customer support has this message that they
   are are aware of a problem and doing their best to fix it. I will also say customer
   support is trying their best to be helpful. Can’t blame them.
 * Perhaps they need to upgrade the Commodore 64’s they use.
 * Okay, that was snide.

 * Also as a note if your working with a larger site you might be able to get it
   built by creating some filters…

 * Hi ymarkable,
 * Have you tried some of the other suggestions for Timeout Issues provided in the
   FAQ?
 * Thanks!

 * > Also as a note if your working with a larger site you might be able to get
   it built by creating some filters…
 * Correct, the worst would be /wp-content/ so filter that out, but copy it via
   FTP, and then rebuild the site manually (Duplicator + transfer via FTP).
 * [@davidtleblanc](https://wordpress.org/support/users/davidtleblanc/) – I am regularly
   having problems with one site on GoDaddy, so try spiting the site with filters,
   it helps.
 * Cory, if I switch to the Pro version, while I have less problems with these type
   of timeout issues?

 * Hi EnderWiggin,
 * Thanks for providing that tip! That is usually the best way for Budget hosts…
   Pro does work better with larger budget sites, but it still has its limits which
   we are seeing around 1.5GB to 2GB. Pro just introduced shell_exec support which
   seems to be much more robust and faster than using PHP ZipArchive. Another tip
   for improving your timeout is to use mysqldump mode under settings, if your host
   supports it…
 * Cheers~

 * Hello Corey,
 * So I purchased the pro version, and immediately noticed that it runs much slower
   than the free version. It that normal? Regardless, I like the live file size
   and percentage display and it completed the 770MB archive without failing so
   that is good.

 * Hey Ender,
 * The free version only has one build mode which is PHPArchive. That mode is slower
   on the Pro version because Pro has a new queue engine that runs in the background
   to overcome any timeouts that the users may face when they are up against timeout
   issues imposed on the server. However as of version 1.0.7 in Pro it now has support
   for shell_exec which is lighting fast.
 * A benchmark was done on a host that doesn’t impose timeouts and the Free version
   took around 13 minutes to zip up an 800MB site. The same site with pro in shell_exec
   mode was under 3 minutes. So if your able to get on a good host that supports
   shell_exec (which there are plenty out there) then you should be able to beat
   even the basic speed of the free version…
 * Cheers~

 * Thanks, I switched to shell_exec and it was much faster. I’m pleased with the
   performance and stability. The percentage and calculated time does not change(
   update) during the shell_exec version, but I can live without those features
   in exchange for faster arrivals.
 * I have been using your free plugin for at least a year on numerous WP sites and
   have been very pleased with your work, and I’m happy to be able to give you some
   financial support.

 * Hey Ender,
 * Thanks for the feedback, we hope to keep making both of them better and better.
   We hope to get a review page up sometime this year, maybe you can help with a
   testimonial…
 * Cheers~
