Support » Plugin: WooCommerce Advanced Free Shipping » keep free shipping with 2 different category

    Hi,

I created a rule: free shipping for one category named “A”. But when the customer add to cart other product from a different category, named “B” the free shipping disappear. I need keep the free shipping if category “A” is still in the cart.

    How can I do that?

    Thank you! 🙂

    Hi,

The ‘category’ condition requires all products in the cart to have the given category, which is why it doesn’t show when B is also in the cart.

What you could do is assign the same shipping class to the products and use the ‘contains shipping class’ condition, that allows other products to be in the cart as well at the same time.

Another alternative is to use a custom condition ‘contains category’, I think I have this lying around somewhere, though not 100% sure.

    Have a great weekend!

Hello Jeroen, your plugin is great, thank you for it. I am trying to understand what you wrote above, because it is also my issue. Do you mean “assign the same shipping class with ‘contains shipping class'” to ALL products, or “assign the same shipping class with ‘contains shipping class'” to the products with the Free Shipping category?

    Hi,

My suggestion was to create shipping classes with the same name as the category (to keep it consistent).

That way you can use a mix of the ‘category’ and ‘contains shipping class’ condition which can be useful as they’re both working in a different way.

I didn’t mean to name your shipping class ‘contains shipping class’ or anything.

    Hope that clarifies it.

    Cheers,
    Jeroen
