It would be a great disadvantages to dismiss all the deprecates codes as you have announced. If all theses short codes are not working anymore than you will have just *one* page setting for the whole site. But I would like to use different subsets of features in different pages.

Another issue: I’m looking for a possibility to cut off branches. At the moment I have to dismiss every single post or page, even if they are subpage under the same heading.

  • I agree with Peter. Please, keep depreciated old codes!

Have a Sitemap that’s fine. Plugin will continue to improve, but the Sitemap will always be just a Sitemap, one page and nothing more. And that’s fine.

But … I have the need to point out visitors to categories or posts on one page. I do not want to send them to the Sitemap. I have a Membership Website. I have a page titled Membership Benefits. And here I put the shortcodes:

    [wp-realtime-sitemap show=”categories”]
    [wp-realtime-sitemap show=”posts”]

If these (depreciated) shortcodes not be included in future versions of this plugin, I will then need to use two plugins are not just one as now.

I see I didn’t realise people were using my plugin in that way, since you have mentioned this I will keep them as part of the code base, I don’t use them myself but will add them to my test blog so can test all aspects of my plugin works ok.

I’ve been wanting to do a total rewrite of the plugin for a while now, I just not been able to find the time to do.
