• When using Kadence Advanced Gallery, is there an option for a link to open in a new tab (as with standard Gutenberg)?

Total newbie here, so if I’m doing this wrong, my apologies.

    Hey,
Yes! When editing an image set the “Link To” to “Custom” in the Link Settings tab, then click the image to add a url and the dropdown arrow will give you the option to open the image in a new tab. https://ibb.co/dmMbQY7
    Hope that’s helpful!

Hi Hannah, thanks for the reply.

What I want is to display a gallery of images which, when an image is clicked, the full size version opens in a new tab. With a single image using Gutenberg you can do this with just four clicks:

    – click the link button
    – click ‘Media File’
    – click to open the drop-down menu
    – click ‘Open in New Tab’

I had found your way of doing it in Advance Gallery but the problem is that there doesn’t seem to be an easy to get the URL of the image without going back to the media library. If you have a large gallery that’s really time-consuming.

I was hoping that there was something easier. For example, an ‘Open in New Tab’ slider under the ‘Link To’ drop down (like the Lightbox one under ‘Link Image Size’) would be a great way to solve this (unless there is something simple you can put in the URL box that refers to the image itself).

    Thanks again for answering,

    Ian
