K2 theme Secure Admin plugin = disappearing login page elements

Hi.

Newbie here. I just installed WordPress and have been reading up on the features. I’ve set up the K2 template because it seemed nice and clean and is supposed to be compatible with WP 2.1. However, with the Secure Admin plugin installed, the login pages are missing the blue background image which sets off the white type. That means you only see some inscrutable text entry fields and a Register button.

I tried a search on this issue but did not come up with anything. I assume it’s an incompatibility, I was wondering if anyone knows what edit to make. Probably images are blocked by Secure Admin? Is there a way to allow them?
