JWT – Or other ways of SSO

Im trying to implement a SSO (single sign on) from my page ( no social login) to a wordpress forum which is using ultimate member authentication. I was thinking of using signed JWT, so i was wondering if there is a possibility of using JWT for SSO to ultimate-member. Or if you can use any other SSO techniques for achieving SSO goal.
