JW Player slowing down WordPress 3.5 Media Manager

Ever since WordPress went to 3.5 with the new media manager interface I noticed that when going to add images it takes forever the initial page to load and then forever (nearly a minute) for it to return any results to a search. At first I overlooked it and thought that perhaps because our library was so large it just took a while to go through them but today I disabled JW to test and the media manager immediately became responsive again, so its definitely something with JW and the new media manager. I’m figuring JW is trying to hook into that screen based on the old media manager interface and that’s causing the slowdown.

Are you all aware of the issue and do you have any plans to fix it? Or do you have any workarounds I could do to fix it in the short term? I don’t actually need that hook anyway as I put in my video using shortcode and just swap out the file path and the image. All my video is hosted in Amazon S3/Cloudfront. The actual player works great but this issue does slow down the speed at which we can develop post waiting for the results to come back. Any help is appreciated.
