Long-Time User Disappointed by Bugs and Poor Support
-
I’ve been a Mailchimp user since 2013, but recent issues with this plugin have made me reconsider. A persistent bug has been causing me to lose subscribers (they turn non-subscribed automagically), which is incredibly frustrating. When I found that someone else had already reported the issue, I added helpful information to the thread. Initially, support thanked me—only for a moderator to later delete my comment and send me a message saying, “If you need support then per the forum guidelines please start your own topic.”
This felt unnecessarily rude and unhelpful. I couldn’t even find the specific guidelines they referenced, and encouraging users to create duplicate threads seems counterproductive.
Combined with other technical quirks and an overall decline in user experience, I’ve decided to switch to Omnisend. Their support is excellent, and their pricing is much more competitive.
Thanks for the earlier years, Mailchimp—but the recent experience has been disappointing.
