    Jeffrey,

Great plug in yes indeed! So I now have the paid version but when I go to install I get

    Destination folder already exists.
    /htdocs/alanpowell/wp-content/plugins/wp-media-library-categories/

Ok I get that, but I have set up 300 images with categories and I do not want to mess that up. So if I deactivate the current FREE version, install the PAID version will my settings be there as before.

    Thanks!

    Hi Bill,

I know your question has already been answered in our mail conversation. But for the record and for future readers. It’s possible to overwrite the free version with the paid (premium) version without losing any of the assigned categories and others settings.

    Hi Jeffrey,
is there any benefit for the user, for upgrading to the premium version? We want to support you and will buy your plugin soon, even if it’s the same as the free version, but I am wondering about the differences… – EDIT: I’ve found it. Nevermind

Me again… I was reading through the comments of the premium version. One user asked if it’s possible to upload media to a specific category and you said it isn’t possible. On the page of the free version of the plugin, there is a note that *this* is the feature that makes the difference between the premium and the free version. Now I am not sure what I really get when buying the premium version.

    Edit again:
Oh well, I get it… you can only filter by category, when you have the premium version? Shouldn’t this the core feature of this plugin?

Hi, thanks for your support. The core feature of the plugin is to use categories in the media library. The extra function that you get when buying the premium version is the filter by category when inserting media. See the last screenshot for an example.
