    You’ve got JavaScript troubles.

Can you enable Developer Mode in your browser, right-click on a testimonial, select “Inspect Element”, and then click on the Console tab to review and resolve the JavaScript errors?

I can follow your instructions, but I don’t anything about the JavaScript. How should I fix it?

I didn’t change anything to my website other than updating WP and other plugins.

    Please help..

I would suggest then for you to disable all of your plugins and then activate testimonials widget to ensure it rotates. Then activate one plugin at a time until testimonials widget rotation doesn’t work anymore.

In knowing this, you can skip that plugin or at least let me know to help you debug further.

it’s the JetPack plugins by WordPress that’s stopping the testimonial from rotating.

Up until I activate JetPack, it was working perfectly.

Can you please try activating the options within JetPack one by one to help determine which it is?

I have an earlier report about the shortcode helper being troublesome.

Thank you for helping with this.

    yes. it works.

I have disabled the J-Shortcodes version: 1.405 and it works fine now.
Thanks for figuring out the issue here.

Thank you very much for letting me know about this second confirmation. I’ll do what I can to work around it now.

    Thanks again.

I’m not able to reproduce the problem.

How were you using J Shortcodes?

    K

    (@kaibleong)

In plugins, it is still activated.
However, on the left hand bottom side of the navigation bar, under J-Shortcodes, I have un-tick “[jgallery] shortcode enabled?” where it says

    “Allows to disable [jgallery] functionality.
If you are not using [jgallery] shortcode you may disable it and save page load times. No jgallery-specific CSS and javascripts will be loaded.”

    Hope that makes sense.

I have another question, do you want me to start another post?
I couldn’t find it anywhere on FAQs or forum here.

Can I change my permalink? eg, http://www.mysite.com/quotes/ instead of testimonial.
The reason is that now I’m using your widget as more a rotating inspirational quotes, but later on the track, I will use testomonial hence I want to keep /testomonial/ for later.

    Cheers.

I’d like to try and reproduce the problem so that I can fix it.

Regarding no testimonials rotation and [jgallery'], did that page have a [gallery] shortcode in use then?

Right now, changing the permalink isn’t possible unless you custom code. However, I’ve added TODOs to see about doing so.

    (@kaibleong)

On the testimonial page, I don’t have any jgallery code in use at all. Only on one page I’ve used jshortcode, and the testimonial rotation hasn’t affected it. That’s why I can still use jshortcode on that page, even though I have untick under the jgallery.

what’s TODOs? Is it fairly easy to change custom code for the permalink?
