Where are you seeing the blogs directory? Is it in the same folder where you installed WordPress? If you could take a screen shot or give us a link to where you are seeing this it would be very helpful.

it’s in wp-content directory.

languages
plugins
themes
upgrade
uploads
not sure why languages is there either…
Hello rwilki,
It sounds like you started to create a network (formerly Multisite) as that is not a folder in the standard WordPress installation, it’s one you create when you’re setting up a network with WordPress. If you’re installing WordPress manually, please make sure you’re following these instructions:
http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress
If you’ve gotten off track with the installation, you may want to clear the files out and restart the installation process.

that’s really strange. I’ve done multiple wp installations. I did this one through a cpanel installer, maybe I wasn’t paying attention. everything seems to be working fine though… i might just delete the extra directories.
