WordPress newby. Not used to the automated function. Trying to find the xml file this generates and can not. Where is it? I want to look at it to verify a) that it exists, and B) the work it did was satisfactory. If I decide to go back to the old manual generation and upload method I will need to disable the plugin and delete the xml file it generated...correct?

it is now dynamically generated (like all other WordPress content), that's why you can't see it in your ftp program. Try to open yourblog.com/sitemap.xml to see your sitemap :)

Thanks Arnee, Forstly I have a website built on a wordpress theme. http://www.barkleyphoto.com

While the XML-Sitemep plugin is open, I click on the link to my sitemap and see the following:
URL of sub-sitemap Last modified (GMT)
    http://mysite.com/sitemap-misc.xml 2014-06-05 01:03
    http://mysite.com/sitemap-pt-post-2012-08.xml 2014-05-28 02:12
all other pages listed are simply blog posts.

None of my child pages of the website proper are listed in the sitemap. What am I missing?

I found the fix for this. It is to manually add urls on the settings page. Thanks!
