[Resolved] Just can't increase all font size in TwentyTwelve child theme

  • Hi,

    I’ve read all the posts about changing the default font-size for standard page and post paragraphs, and tried various suggested css including…

    body {
        font-size: 16px! important;
        font-size: 1.142857142rem! important;
    }
    html {
        font-size: 100%;
    }
    .entry-content p, .entry-summary p, .comment-content p, .mu_register p {
        font-size: 120%;
    }

    none of which seem to have any effect!

    I’m totally stumped – any advice would be much appreciated re: increasing page and post body text to 16px please.

    Thanks!

  • Hi,

    You’ve got your syntax slightly wrong.

    body {
        font-size: 16px! important;
        font-size: 1.142857142rem! important;
    }

    should be…

    body {
        font-size: 16px !important;
        font-size: 1.142857142rem !important;
    }

    The apostrophe should be right before important, not right after the value.

    Thanks for your reply scribbler – I’ve re-tried it with the correct syntax as suggested, but no change still. Any other ideas?
    Cheers.

    Let’s see your site.

    Hi Andrew,

    it’s here: http://trevorpenfold.com/

    just give me 2 ticks to take it out of maintenance mode – and I’ll keep it out for the next hour…

    Cheers.

    Ok, I’ve found the culprit… one too many / in between 2 comments in my style.css, which must have stopped it from working.

    Now works fine as suggested by the scribbler!

    many thanks.
