    hi all,

my feeds are not working. it does’nt update email subscribers. and when i check with the feed validator, it gets an error:

XML parsing error: <unknown>:1650:1: junk after document element

those errors are generated by links in the feed, which i dont know where they came from and how they got into my feeds. sample of these links are:
    abb
    firework

i want to delete all those links in the feed, but how do i edit the content of the feed? and what file should i edit?

i have been looking for a way to edit feed content, but i cant find.

    hope someone can help me.

    thanks in advance

do you have links in your feed, that you didnt put there?

sounds like a bigger issue than a broken feed, dont you think?

what is the URL to your blog, please?

    hi,

yes. i have links in the feed which is not part of the posts.

there is another post of this problem: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/335465?replies=2

exactly the same problem with mine.

do you think, my site has been hacked?

Sounds very much like it. There’s good clean up links to follow for more info in the thread you mention.

As whooami says though, post your URL.

Well, I’ll guess this is your site then… style-anywhere.com
If it is that, you were running 2.7.1 last week, so it’s highly likely it’s been hacked.

How To Completely Clean Your Hacked WordPress Installation

You’ll need to put in some elbow grease I’m afraid.

    Hi alism,

is it going to be a big problem?

thanks for the help. and yeah, that’s my site.

Cleaning up after a hack can sometimes be a pain in the arse I’m afraid.

Hence the ultra easy upgrades these days and everyone banging on about staying up to date with software.

oh god!that sounds really painful. 🙁
but is it going to be infectious? like for now, my rss feeds are affected with the spam? is it going to be worse?

    thanks alism

    Probably not.

Just take a deep breath, then a backup of everything, then work through the link above.
