 * Is it common for the plugin to constantly hit access “GET /wp-json/tminus/v1/
now HTTP/1.1” and jquery. In my access logs that endpoint is constantly being
hit. I think it is causing memory leaks.
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fjson-hits%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)

 * No. This was an attempted work-around for people that are using caching on the
countdown page. Due to the way time and cached pages work… We have since determined
that a complete rewrite will be needed for this. In the meantime, you can revert
back to the previous plugin: [jQuery T(-) Countdown Widget](https://wordpress.org/plugins/jquery-t-countdown-widget/)
