The widget provided by GigPress is simple and very useful for visitors.
I added this to my welcome page but Google does not find the Event info because it looks like the Json markup is not visible in the Widget.

It is possible to add event data in JSON LD format so that Google and other search engines can consume it and directly refer to the homepage instead of scanning and linking to the “Comming Event” page?

Sub subject : I have 5 “warnings” for an Event on the Search console
Name (no idea why), description (the tour name ? the artists, the note) , offers (free events is not possible ?), endDate (if one day event, same day) and image (for example the poster of the event)

    thanks for your help !

    More info:
My website with the widget on homepage : https://scenepi.com
Structered data analisys for my page with all comming events :

Seems that Description is filled correclty with the notes of the Event!
    So remaining warnings are :
    – endDate for an Event on one day only
    – offers for free Events
    – image (the possibility to add a link for an image for the Event)

When I put 0 as price I have more warnings:
    – offers.url is missing
    – priceCurrency is missing
    – offers.availability
    – offers.validFrom

    Hi @sinoq,

    Thanks for reaching out!

    First the Google console errors:
As you also saw, these are warnings but not errors. Google tries to get and process as much data of an event as possible. The more of these you have filled out, the better. But obviously there are cases where you will not be able to have an event without any warnings, and usually that is the case. So you don’t really need to worry about that.

When you see an ‘error’, that’s a different case.

    For the Json markup:
I tested your landing page (https://scenepi.com/) with the testing tool and I did see the JSON markup there as well.

    > directly refer to the homepage instead of scanning and linking to the “Coming Event” page
Not quite sure what you mean by that. I didn’t see it linking to that page, only to home.

    Hi @aguseo,

I added at the very bottom of the landing page a copy to the article with the JSON markup. that’s why actually, the testing tool is getting the markup.

So the point : the widget present the list of coming Events, but without the markup.
the dedicated page with the full list of coming event has the markup…

I hope this is more clear for you !

    Thanks for the clarification @sinoq

I could reproduce this on my test site. I have opened an internal ticket for this and we’ll take a look at it. (Internal ref. #118002)

    Cheers,
    Andras
