 * Hi Frank
    Thanks for the plugin 🙂
 * A couple of questions-
 * 1. I am trying to exclude a js and followed your instructions in the FAQ
    “if
   you want to exclude all files of a specific plugin, e.g. wp-content/plugins/funkyplugin/
   js/*, you can exclude for example “funkyplugin/js/” or “plugins/funkyplugin”.
 * However this didn’t work for me, I tried lots of combinations, in my case livemesh-
   siteorigin-widgets/assets/js, assets/js, plugins/livemesh… etc. and none worked.
   It worked only when I put in the actual script name, i.e. isotope.pkgd.min.js.
 * Do you have any idea as to why this is? It would be nice to know in case I have
   to exclude other things in the future as it was hard for me to figure out which
   actual script it was.
 * 2. Selecting the HTML optimisation causes my text to all turn bold. Any idea
   why? At the moment I have it switched off.
 * My site is [http://www.psych-fitness.com](http://www.psych-fitness.com).
 * (NB For 1. above in IE the widget in question doesn’t work on my site, so it
   can only be viewed in Chrome at present)
 * Cheers
    Elisa

 * weird, `/plugins/livemesh-siteorigin-widgets/assets/js/` or `/plugins/livemesh-
   siteorigin-widgets` or `/assets/js/` really should work to exclude that isotope-
   JS. glad you found a workaround.
 * regarding HTML optimization; hard to say really, one would have to carefully
   compare the HTML between the optimized and original version in your favorite
   browser’s developer tools. but given the fact that HTML optimization has the
   smallest performance-impact, you could just leave that one off.
 * hope this helps,

 * Thanks for the quick reply Frank.
 * Further investigation reveals that yes they are being excluded i.e. when I exclude
   a folder, the js within that folder will show up in the ‘Network’ developer tool.
   However the widgets are still broken – very odd!
 * Another weird one on [http://www.psych-fitness/blog](http://www.psych-fitness/blog),
   the slidedeck was not working properly, I excluded the Slidedeck3 folder (still
   broken) then excluded every piece of js in the Slidedeck3 folder (still broken)
   then removed all that and just ticked your try-catch wrapping box, and fixed!
 * I do have a bunch of errors in the Console on the Home page though with names
   including autooptimise and isotope.pkgd.min.js, do I need to be concerned about
   this?
 * It seems it all works now (so far!) but thought I’d let you know the weirdness!
 * Cheers

 * had a quick look on your homepage, I see the same errors with autoptimize off(
   add `?ao_noptimize=1` to the URL to see that) so if all works as expected I think
   your good from an optimization point of view 🙂
 * happy holidays,

 * Cool good to know thanks!
    I managed to fix the HTML issue too, I had a piece
   of CSS defining ‘strong’ as 700 which I didn’t need any more and removed which
   fixed the bold problem – not sure why but whatever works!
 * One last question – is it bad to have too much cache or minify going on?
    I have
   Autoptimize, WP Super Cache and Cloudflare which all cache, and Autoptimize and
   Cloudflare also both minify I believe. I also just added LazyLoad XT which also
   has an option load minimized versions of js and css.
 * Can these affect each other do you know?

 * The only potential issue I see here is if you have another plugin on your server(
   so not cloudflare) which also minifies JS and CSS. this could lead to unexpected
   results and could in some cases even break your site, so I would keep all as
   is but not use (the minify features) of LazyLoad XT.
