JS Errors / White font / No TinyMCE

  • Hello,

    i just installed a fresh (non update) WP 3.0.4

    In the admin area i cannot see tiny mce.

    The font color is white.

    I tried it with the newest Firefox/IE/Chrome. I get always JavaScript Errors: http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/6936/jserror.png

    I tried to upload or save it in another mode Binary/ASCII/UTF-8. Re Upload the js folder. Nothing helped me so far.

    Please help me to fix this

  • I am wondering why this annoying error which is documented since more than two years is still not completely fixed.

    The error happens because the script loader adds a backslash to every double quote to parse the javascript code inside php code.

    if i add

    ?>

    <script type=”text/javascript” src=”http://www.mysite.de/wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js”></script>
    <script type=”text/javascript” src=”http://www.mysite.de/wp-admin/js/editor.js”></script>
    <script type=”text/javascript” src=”http://www.mysite.de/wp-admin/js/utils.js”></script>
    <script type=”text/javascript” src=”http://www.mysite.de/wp-includes/js/quicktags.js”></script>
    <script type=”text/javascript” src=”http://www.mysite.de/wp-admin/js/nav-menu.js”></script>

    <?

    to the admin-header.php most of the errors will go. The font will be black again. But tinymce still does not work.
