 * Hello.
    I’m having an issue on one of my sites using this plugin. I’m not able
   to dismiss warning/error messages about this plugin, and unable to get into the
   theme options to make changes.
 * In the console I’m seeing this error.
    SyntaxError: illegal character – /?ai1ec_render_js
   = (line 1). And I am seeing this error on several pages and the script that is
   being called after /?ai1ec_render_js= is different depending on the page.
 * I’m also seeing this in my error log on the server.
    All-in-One Event Calendar:
   ob_get_clean(): failed to delete buffer of zlib output compression (0) @ /all-
   in-one-event-calendar/lib/global-functions.php:38 #8
 * Seemed to start happening after the update to WP 4.7.2 today.
    I’ve tried changing
   themes and deactivating all plugins, but nothing changes. Any ideas? Thanks for
   any help.

 * Well, I resolved the js error. Not exactly sure how, but I deleted a few old 
   unused AI1EC plugins (extended view, venues) even though they were already deactivated.
   I also went into the DB and resaved the ai1ec_settings.
 * So now I can dismiss admin messages and get into Theme Options.
 * But still seeing the PHP error in my log….
    All-in-One Event Calendar: ob_get_clean():

 * Check your PHP version, my host recently upgraded to PHP 7.0.6 which has created
   havoc with several of my WordPress plugins. I backed off my PHP version used 
   to 5.6.21 and every thing went back to normal.

 * Thanks for the reply chromausa. Looks like the PHP version was the issue, however
   the other direction. My host runs PHP 5.4 natively. When I updated it to use 
   PHP 5.5 the error has gone away. BTW, 5.5 is as high as I can go. 🙁
